ABOUT THE TEMPLE The Shree Bhairav Jati Temple is an ancient, highly powerful Seedhpeeth nestled peacefully in the Shivalik foothills near the scenic Siswan Dam. Believed by locals to be over 300 years old, this sacred land was established by ancient rishis who performed intense tapasya (penance) here. Reflecting the traditional iconography of Bhairav Baba, the temple celebrates his divine vahana (vehicle)—the dog—and devotees frequently feed local dogs as a vital ritual of protection and charity. Celebrated as a supreme, vigilant protector, Baba Bhairav Jati is worshipped here as a living energy who answers the purest wishes (manokamna) of his devotees while shielding them from unseen harms.
