Shatru Nashak Maa Baglamukhi Mahapuja

The Baglamukhi temple at Nalkheda stands on the banks of the Lakhundar River in the Agar Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh, and is regarded as one of only three historic shrines to the goddess in India, the others being at Datia and Bankhandi in Kangra. Tradition holds that Yudhishthira installed the idol here on the twelfth day of the Kurukshetra war, on Lord Krishna's counsel, so that the Pandavas could gain victory over their adversaries. The murti is considered swayambhu — self-manifested rather than consecrated by human hands — and is enshrined in a rare Trishakti form, flanked by Maa Lakshmi and Maa Saraswati. The temple has functioned as a major centre of Tantric worship for centuries, and yellow — in flowers, chunri and prasad — holds special ritual significance here.
