About Dus Mahavidya Divya Mahahavan

The Dus Mahavidyas are the ten great wisdom-goddesses of Shakta tradition, each representing a distinct aspect of the divine feminine, from fierce protection to serene wisdom. A Maha Havan invoking all ten together at a Mahavidya shrine such as Nalkheda is considered an especially comprehensive fire ritual, drawn upon to destroy negative energies at their root, help overcome severe and long-standing obstacles, remove planetary doshas from the horoscope, and invite wealth, protection and spiritual liberation into the devotee's life.

🕌 About Temple

Temple

The Baglamukhi Shaktipeeth at Nalkheda stands on the banks of the Lakhundar River in the Agar Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh, and is one of only three historic shrines to Maa Baglamukhi in India, alongside those at Datia and Bankhandi in Kangra. Its sanctum houses a rare triad murti, with Maa Lakshmi and Maa Saraswati flanking the Goddess. The present structure was restored in 1815, though local tradition holds that Yudhishthira established worship here on Lord Krishna's guidance so the Pandavas could overcome their adversaries before the Mahabharata war. The idol is regarded as swayambhu — self-manifested rather than consecrated by human hands.
