About Temple

Annapurna Mandir, Panchganga Ghat, Kashi
Panchganga Ghat is one of the most sacred ghats of Kashi, believed in tradition to be the place where five rivers, the Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati, Kirana and Dhutapapa, meet. The Annapurna Mandir here is dedicated to Maa Annapurna, the goddess of food and plenty, who is believed to nourish all of Kashi. The ghat is also known for the akashdeep lamps hung on tall bamboo poles through the month of Kartik, which makes the days around Dhanteras especially radiant here.
