Maa Baglamukhi Mata Mandir, Nalkheda

Nalkheda lies on the banks of the Lakhundar river in Madhya Pradesh's Agar Malwa district and is counted among the three best-known Baglamukhi shrines in India, along with Datia and Kangra. Tradition links the original image to the Mahabharata era, and the temple has long been a centre of tantra sadhana. Yellow flowers, turmeric and yellow sweets are offered here in keeping with the goddess's name Pitambara, and Tuesdays are traditionally regarded as especially favourable for her worship.

A Havan suits most devotees and is a good starting point. The Vishesh Havan is a longer ritual for persistent difficulty. The Jaap anushthans (36,000 and 1,25,000 recitations) are chosen for serious or long-standing concerns.

An anushthan is a vow of sustained mantra recitation carried out over a set span of time and concluded with havan. Here, a team of pandits completes the recitation on your behalf, with your name and gotra in the sankalp.

Tuesdays are traditionally regarded as especially favourable for Maa Baglamukhi, though she can be worshipped on any day.
